Justification of Propaganda

All of us have certain convictions; we live by a set of principles, ideals and moral guidelines. Why? It is, because, we think that is the right way, the only way to live(i.e this is how we justify our being). If i were to be cognizant of a higher/better "truth" (or so I lead myself to believe that), should i convince/force-upon the same on my fellow people? Will doing so negate the very essence of their being - A life without a personal preference/choice (whether it is good or bad for their being); without the freedom to formulate thier own law for themselves...

Should we or should we not respect the decision making capacity of individuals and let them be (for their own good or bad)...Should we take it up upon ourselves to decide what it is good or what is bad for others?

Is propaganda justified ? Does it need to be justified?

Makes sense. But you forgot about a vital aspect of all our lives. Fortunately or unfortunately, humans have emotions. If you notice, you only spread your version of the "right way to live" to those you care about. If that's the case, there's nothing wrong.. Cos in the end, you're only doing it to see the other person happier in the end, which will make you happy too..

Ever catch yourself saying this stuff to some dog-gone-mad like George Bush.. you wont care, will you?
